A search for Ibanez ATK3EX1 does pull up a number of results. Look at from Reverb, especially the back of the headstock. The bass on Reverb has a different logo on the front of the headstock, says ATK3EX1 on the back of the headstock, has the serial number info oriented so you could read it while playing, has the factory letter in bold and a little separated form the numbers, and has massive tuners.
Most Ibanez models with this serial number format are made by FujiGen Gakki. Exceptions are the Ibanez Blazer models, made by Dyna Gakki and the Axstar Ibanez models (AX40, AX45, AX48, AXB50, AXB60, AXB65, AX70 and AX75), made by Chushin Gakki.

So now you guys are making me nervous.hahaI haven't heard anyone say that this is a fake or a copy (which wouldn't make sense at that price point), but there seem to be a lot of consistencies when it comes to these basses and also some inconsistencies.
It's hard to tell, but I'm thinking that this is from a different factory and possibly just made differently than some others. I've seen other pictures that look nearly identical to mine (some posted in the ATK club thread), so I'm not sure exactly what to think.
I just got this pedal yesterday that I can buy for 50 bucks if I want it. It's a vintage Ibanez FL9 flanger. It's beat up and everything and someone took the sticker off the back with the serial.
I just want a way to get some kind of idea of when It was made. I'd be happy with a 5 year window it could have Been made in. I don't have pictures but I can take some if necessary, but I'd really like to just know how to find it and ill open it up. I already did open it up seeing if maybe there was a serial number in there. Any help appreciated! And anyone who knows about vintage Ibanez pedals, please drop a line.
I don't want to shatter your dreams or anything, but I don't see an advantage to 'Vintage Pedals'. I understand there are people that believe some older pedals sound better than newer ones, and I guess that's ok, but here's my problem with old pedals:Electronic components in the pedal will fail. The older the pedal, the more likely it is you will have a failure soon. I would recommend finding a new pedal that you like the sound of, and just getting that.Sometimes something older is just old. Just because something is old, doesn't necessarily make it vintage. I don't want to shatter your dreams or anything, but I don't see an advantage to 'Vintage Pedals'. A student at the music store I work at brought it to me(hes in his 30s) because I told him I had a cheap piece of crap FAB flange. He only wants 50 bucks an I really like it. I'm gonna buy it no matter what I just like to know how old my gear is.
I have no idea why but its my one quirk with gear. I need to know how old it is.
And in this case it is vintage. Vintage Ibanez refers to the 80s. This pedal is in 4/10 cosmetic shape though.
